Helping Good People Tell Better Stories

I am a writer, ghostwriter, and collaborator specializing in clear communications about the important issues, challenges, and opportunities of our day — and the people leading the way to positive social change.

A former Harvard fellow and Ashoka Changemaker thought leader, I am the co-author of Ecoliterate; a contributor to The Compassionate Instinct, Smart by Nature, and A Place at the Table. My essays and articles have appeared in The New York Times, Vox, Forbes, The Daily Beast, Greater Good, and many other publications.

More personally: I also write essays and blog for those of us who care deeply about preparing young people to navigate our fast-changing world: one being remade by climate change, growing social conflict, and a political system that has been turned on its head. I am interested in how we think and talk and feel our way through these changing realities in ways that help us grow in courage and compassion. I am inspired by the creativity, caring, and heroism — both ordinary and extraordinary — people have demonstrated in the face of great challenges today and throughout human history.
